Why does game end at end of age 2

No more cards no more game after age 2 cards are done? Doesn’t the game go on, no body more recent than Napoleon?

You played with the Handbook option, a sort of 'introductory' option with the game ending after Age 2 (no modern, Age 3 cards). To play all ages, make sure the game option says "Complete".
