No more gg please at the end of the game if the match wasn't a balanced game.
I hate it.
Only "thanks for the game, bye".

Thanks aesche for supporting me.
Actually "gg" in a not balanced game is a mockery.
So, remember, If you win in a very fast way and with a great luck, you should keep on mind that your opponent doesn't feel the same satisfaction you have.
At the contrary your opponent is "hurting".
Joy for the world.

I fully agree. Such games should end with "ezpz" NOT "gg".

Huh, who knew. I thought i was being polite and now it seems some might have taken offence. No wonder a lot say nothing, this whole game etiquette is a minefield!

I've played plenty of 2p games of Innovation against much stronger opponents and lost almost all of them. At no point did I feel that their 'gg' was misplaced, mocking me or otherwise in bad faith. I believe they were merely thanking me for taking the time to play an enjoyable game with them. When I sent 'gg' to them, that's what I intended by it too.

I had always intended and interpreted it as a polite gesture as well, even when the game is lopsided against me. I learned a few years ago how to avoid taking flak from people who take it as a personal insult (and those who take games too seriously in general) by never saying 'gg' first if I win.

I think you're being a bit over sensitive.
gg is now woven into the fabric of all on-line games. It's just the positive end to the game, communication, maybe even life.
It's exactly the same as seeya, goodbye, cheers, thanks for the game, etc.
The same could be said of saying 'good luck' at the start of a game, misinterpretation: what you think the only way I can beat you is with luck...
Any player that loses to me with a gg is definitely getting a green-thumb.
