ELO Point deduction for tie with partner?

Hi, we just finished a Toc as 2 vs 2 and I had a look at the ELO point calculation: I was fairly surprised to see, the one partner per team gets negative points for the tie and the other the same value as positive points. We are playing together, so won't be able to be better/worse than the partner. Is this intentional? Or would it be possible to change the calculation to +/- 0 for the 2 players in a team?

Is this intentional?
It's not really intentional to "punish" one member, just a side-effect of individual ELO rankings for any team game (not just Toc). The teammate(s) with the higher ELO will always transfer some to the teammate(s) with the lower ELO. This happens even if the team wins.
Think of it this way: the members of the team all played at the same level (when the
only data that can be quantitatively analyzed is the final ranking). As such, their ELOs should move closer to each other. The only way to do this is to transfer points from the higher ranked to the lower ranked.
This is a known issue (it gets brought up in the general Discussion forum fairly regularly), and there have been issues with every proposed change.
