It might be a good idea when gear markers are overlaid on each other to place the highest gear on top to avoid confusion for players trying to overtake.
We’ve just started a race on table #107629546 and hit this coming into the first corner with a player wondering why he was unable to overtake when the displayed gear token showed a 2 and the token underneath was a 3. The players gears are shown clearly with the player names but you tend not to look there when taking your turn.
