Board Game Arena

Hello everyone. I am a high school teacher and teach a board game design class. The first part of the course is to introduce students to strategy games by playing them. Most students enrolled in the class have only played the family classics, so we learn about "modern" games and their mechanisms through play and discussion.

This year with my district being in remote learning for at least the 1st quarter of the year, I have to find a way to get kids to play remotely and have choses BGA for a variety of reasons. I have paid for premium to have access to all the games in the site as most of the games I would like my student to experience are premium (of course), but have a couple of questions to help figure out how to best make this work for me and my students.

For example, if I want all of my students to play "Love Letter" one day, how can I make this work?

It seems as though I cannot start a premium game and then leave the game as the entire table closes. Please correct me if I am wrong on this.

Can I log in to BGA on multiple machines and start multiple iterations of the same game that are being played at the same time?

If that won't work, does anyone have any other ideas that don't require my students to have premium subscriptions?

As far as I know, you (or at least your login...) needs to be at each table. If you trust your students not to go into your account settings, you could log in on a machine and turn that machine over to a student. But you would really need to trust the student.

As far as multiple tables at the same time, this can be done if the games are created turn-based. This would also reduce the time pressure of games as students are learning it. Again, though, if you give your machine to a student you would need to trust them not to leave their game and hijack a different one.

if you are playing 2 player games, you can create a tournament for the given game where only your students are invited to it
