Red thumb - 'my personal opinion'

When you give a player a red thumb and choose the "just my personal opinion" option (instead of "everyone should avoid this player"), is that bad for their reputation or just a way for you personally to avoid this player? I would like to avoid/block and not play with certain players (because of their style etc.) but don't want to get them into trouble as they have done nothing wrong - no insults etc. The FAQ doesn't mention personal red thumbs and there are different opinions on this on the forum.
It would be great to have this info on the FAQ.
If this is not a way to avoid a certain player, is there another way?

When you give a personal red thumb, it is just for you to avoid the player. It does not affect their karma/reputation in any way. You can give out as many of them as you want.
Public red thumbs will limit a player's karma if they have too many. I'm not sure what the cutoff for "too many" is, but it will cap their karma at 60%. In order to give out a public red thumb, you must also give out a certain number of green thumbs.

Well, is 5 greens for 1 red, but whit a lot of recents kingmakers on my tables is way less then the expected number.
