Board Game Arena

My suggestion is that we could have a game option to set the number of rounds to be played instead of playing to 66 points. (for instance 1-7 rounds) This is allowed in the official rules.

We are having competitions with 20-25 players at multiple tables. It would be helpful if we could compare scores for all players. Currently, some games last 2 rounds and others last 5 rounds, so comparing scores from different games is unfair.

Letting our competitions aside, for which this option would obviously work better, even in normal games it's fairer to set a number of rounds than to play to 0. You can have very bad cards for 2 consecutive rounds and the game is over (it doesn't happen too often, but it happens). Setting it to 4 (or even 5) rounds, it would give one the chance to compensate early bad luck.

I enjoy playing to 66 points because it gives a nice conceptual target, but I agree that playing a set number of rounds would be fairer for comparison purposes and would be down to try it. Who knows; could be fun!
