hello,
there is a link to see games in progress in a particular game but is there a way to also see recently finished games ?

Yes, there is.
On the game page, just below the game's title and its introduction, you need to click on the 'See more' link to open up that pane. The number representing the 'Number of games played' is a clickable link that will allow you to see the most recent games.
On the list of recent games, you can click 'See more...' as many times as you like to go back in game history.
