Board Game Arena

I was playing and my opponent triggered something called a hunting trap that gave them a bunch of points and put red X's through out a meadow. What is that? I have not heard of it nor can I find anything in the rules.

It's a function of one of the tiles you draw after you complete a forest with a 'stone' in it (don't know the English names for the game). There is this pit which catches all the animals in that field. In my booklet the functions of the tiles are on the back
