Setting up own tables and league?

Hi,

Does anyone know if it's possible to set up your own tables and league? I'd like to start a board games competition at work and so I'd like to:
1) Have our own private league for people within a private group
2) Have the ability to assign people to games tables for them to play with particular people (rather than them set up the tables themselves).

I've had a look through and I think with the current arena capabilities this should be possible but I'm guessing you might need to be an admin of some form and I can't see anything in the FAQs?

Any help or ideas would be appreciated thanks!

As far as I know, there is no functionality like this on BGA. You will have to set up each table manually, and keep track of results yourself. (OK, actually, you can create a private tournament by limiting people who can sign up for it to people you invite, but this limits you to 2-player games [and you mentioned people -- plural -- for being at the table] and sending out the invitations to all members manually.)

As far as limiting tables, though, this can easily be done by using the "restrict table access" feature and limiting it to members of the group.

The best you can have is a tournament.

For a league, you could have a swiss tournament (play matches 1 at a time) or round robin (play all matches at once).
I think you can make the tournament private, and you can use the 'Invite a player' feature with your friend list quite easily.

Ah thanks for both of the suggestions. I’ll take a look and if it doesn’t quite meet what I’m after, I’ll raise a suggestion in the Suggestion forum!

Thanks
