Translating tags in Arabic

How are you translating html tags in Arabic?

For example when you type <a href="player_name> then "Arabic translated word" </a>, how are you keeping the tags the same even with the word going from right to left? When I try to keep the tag the same, and only translate the words, it doesn't work. </a> becomes <</a, and cut and paste doesn't work either.

<</a apparently has the same effect as </a>, when you're writing from right-to-left....I just wish there was a better way of translating right-to-left languages such as Arabic.
