Board Game Arena

Tried to play a game of DownForce, automatically assigned to table, game didn't start because the admin was not connected.
Could not refresh Play Games screen to eliminate the game in progress message, so clicked link.
Discussed the game with other players, game started and immediately gave a 20 second warning.
Clicked into the game in about 3 seconds and was immediately expelled.
Tried to play game, but table creater was was dropped and then another player couldn't send commands to server.
Remaining players ended game and I was penalized 20 + 14 ELO (and a karma hit?)
Is there any way to rectify this?
Is there any way to avoid it in the future?
I get notices asking me to become Premium, but wonder if I should.
Advice?

I would like to have some way of answering reports that people make to you. I, for example, have been reported for saying that 3 players were kingmaking. It's hard to prove since even with that they didn't win the game, so they did report me for say that. but if you look at their game log, the 3 made the count the same day, they always play together and one wins all the games, while the other two lose them. coincidences?
These players play forsale, 2 of them play on the same IP but on game game verythey said they dont knew each other (is that even possible?) sad and not fun to have to cheat...

I keep getting the same on 6 Nimmit and Solo. Very annoying. Not paying for premium if the free version is this crap so it'll be a waste of their time to do this to encourage move to premium. Just want all my Karma back, don't really care about the other things. Disappointing, had liked this site since I found it. Only happened last couple of days (since 4 Nov)
