Board Game Arena

Hej Hej everybody,

Where are the curious players ?
Who want to test and play a maximum of games they can.
Who don't want to be a master of just one game, but a rookie of every games ?
Who like to read rules of every game ?

Because that's difficult to play a lot of different game on BGA.
When we are rookie, that's not easy to enter to a party with people who play a lot at this game you have just read the rules.

Is there a player group with this filosofia ?
If there is not, I have created a group, named : "Discover and Play all games" .. that's open for everybody with every language (I speak french, spanish and english)

I'm trying, but BGA keeps adding more games.

playing all games should be an achievement lol

I think playing all the games is an achievement, or was, but not sure what all means...bga is adding so many so quickly I can't keep up. at one point I was making good progress but have given up because there are so many new games .

I know some people had achieved this or were close when there were about 175 games, with like 50 new games (100 new with alpha ones) this year I'm not sure if anyone has done all the games...at least all the released games.

but I think it is a fun achievement and starting a group might be cool b/c then whenever a new game is released you have a group to play with!

Someone did mention that they had got that achievement.

I have played all but a handful of games (less than 10 maybe) and that includes all the beta games. So that's more than 200. There is no achievement for 200, but there is for 100. I'm still left with a few standard deck of card games that I'm yet to get to grips with the rules, and a few real-time only games like Gear and Piston.

I've played most of them with my partner in crime - Ivardo. I know he'll at-least try the game out with me. So it's easy to start with a player in the same boat as me - it helps a lot. tbh I'm not in need of a new BGA group as that is enough to get me started.

Most helpful is a youtube video, followed by the 'How to play' short-hand rules you get on BGA followed by the actual rules as backup / clarification. But 1st games are usually learning games and to see if you like the style.

There are a lot of really good ones in Beta atm, I recommend to try them all. Other peoples recommendations and popularity are not necessarily always right.

I'm still missing about 100 games.

I think it's nice to have spaces for the folks who enjoy a more relaxed style of gaming. Plus it's really cool to get to know so many games that I had never heard of before.
