As people from different time zone participated in tournaments, The current scoring system to games that is winning by player who opted "Skip next player turn" , needs to be improved especially on swiss system .

Swiss system :
Instead of giving a full score of 1 as in winning, this type of winning can obtain point max 0.5 , similar like draw.

Lots of people opted to skip next player's turn even though it's still in the allotted game time, and this hurts both ELO and reputation. I've been skipped a lot by 1-10 mins knowing the opponents might loose if the game continued.

Note that this doesn't apply to games which is Timed-out automatically by system .

What do you guys think?

Many tournaments are set with a too strict time setting. I just would not join these tournaments.

My preference:
short games: at least 5 days per game
medium games: at least 7 days per game
long games: at least 15 days per game

If shorter, normally I would not join.

If you don't think you can play in the allotted time, then perhaps you shouldn't join the tournament.

I have the opposite problem. Players who register and don't play within the player time limit! Arrgh!
