Can anyone explain to me how the scoring system works? For example, take 7 Wonders. I generally lose this game, but do every now and then win a match or 2. There doesn't seem to be any set scoring, though, and I can lose anything from -50 to -2 for losing a match. Similarly, I will sometimes win 50, and sometimes only win 10 points. Similar for Crib. There doesn't seem to be a set system for gaining/losing points. I thought at first it was related to how much you won the individual game by but that doesn't seem to be correct. So, why do I sometimes lose 2 points, and sometimes I lose 40 points?

Score doesn’t matter at all. Simplified, with Elo beat someone good, gain many points, lose to them and lose few points. Beat someone bad gain few points, lose to them and lose many points.
