The automatically translated strings into certain languages are nonsense. I cannot use the website in Persian because the text everywhere is nonsense. It is much better to leave them untranslated in English, and have just the properly translated strings appear as so.

If I ever want to play a game that is less than half translated, I cannot play it in my language, and I must switch back to English. Otherwise, I will be reading gibberish, and will not be able to play unless I already have the rules memorized, and am playing purely from iconography.

Strongly agree. Google translations cannot reflect in-game words, separated strings, or game displays, thus producing nonsense results.
News auto-translation is good enough and working well, but it is not really for game implementations.

Well, this is obviously a language related choice.
Automated translations give appropriate results in some languages, poor results in others. It's also improving over time.

I understand that at the moment, results are bad and counter productive in Persian and in Korean for automated translation of game strings.
So I have disabled auto translation for this specific case.

I know some Hebrew, but am not fluent. However, today I had a go at translating using Google translate. Because I know basic Hebrew, I could quickly see if Google's translation made sense, and I double checked the words I wasn't sure about, to see if they actually conveyed the right meaning of the word. I hope that was okay to do. I think it can still be helpful for some languages...

Just copy them back in? Works for Dutch.

Even if you copy the entire English string and then just translate the words between the tags? That's how I usually do it.
