Board Game Arena

Not sure if this is the right spot for these questions but I have a few just trying to learn the site.

1.) Is there a way to shut off chat? I guess I was spectating some game or something and then their chat kept coming up and it was annoying of course. Is there a way to hide all the chat?

2.) Can you shut off achievements? I find that super annoying.

Any help would be great thanks.

Why should it be deleted? It's a valid question.

It would be better to edit the title to something more descriptive, though.

Loved that. At least it triggers the imagination!

What's true is that there's been a lot of new trophees recently, so there are times I simply can't finish a game without a 15 seconds "todadoodadoom" (idk how to spell that sound :p), because it's my 1st game, then my 2nd game, 1st victory, 5th victory, two in a row, 3 in a row, 200 elo... Or I play overnight... Sometimes it feels like I will receive a trophee if I play my 37th game or if I happen to play blue.
It's great to receive all these trophees, and there are more chance for casual players to get some, but as for more "serious" players, it gets to a point where they hardly can appear all at once on the screen.
I won't complain in the end, I sort of like it, but yeah, that's still sth you need to get used to. Well, and still, maybe an option to hide them or sth would help.

I applaud the attempt to get this sound converted into some workable phonetics. Next to the moon landing, I can't think of a thing that the phrase "that's one small step for man....one giant leap for mankind" would be more worthily applied to.
