It's incredibly annoying when you're playing a group game and one player is playing slowly (slow internet on their side possibly) and one of the players decides to skip their turn without dicussing it with other players, effectively ending the game. ESPECIALLY when it is nearing the end of the game AND when the game takes a while to play.
It makes it an a huge waste of time.

While a discussion would be nice, realize that the person skipping the slow player is not the person who has wasted everyone's time: it is the slow player themselves. By pressing the skip button, all players may now quit the game and not waste any more of their time.
