Persistent chat boxes

I've seen a post from 2017 about that, but the problem is still here

And I must say it's very very annoying.
I believe most people that do chat with their friends on the website have encountered that. You finish a game, come back to the main page, and magic ! Your friends' chat boxes have disappeared... In itself it's already a flaw, but the worse is how to open it back... Having to go back to their profile and click on "send a message".
I've seen the happy new year post from BGA team, and I reaaaallly hope it's stored in their nearest plans

This is basically why I don't use the chat box or the audio chat (same issue) features when playing BGA with family. It's a hassle setting up the audio connection then once the game is finished and we've returned to the main page and we've got no way of communicating with each other.
The "solution" is that we use zoom but it's a little bit of a hassle as we only get 45 minutes and I sometimes have to end the meeting then restablish it in the middle of a game.
I think the best improvment this site could make is to provide some kind of audio chat sessions that last longer than an individual game. Though I don't know how practical this would be in terms of bandwidth and site stability.

Skype Meet Now doesn't have this restriction. It doesn't require an account or installation either:

Thanks. May give that a go.

You can also open a new browser window and just keep chatting using the finished game open. That works for our group.
