Board Game Arena

Honestly, I really want to announce that an arena mode table need 1 more to start, but I can't, because I'm not premium (not enough gifts or money to have it), I want either.

An 100% karma for no premiums for chatting in global chat

Or

A special suggestion if you want to play a game that you can play in arena if 1 more needed

does anyone use general messages anymore since they made it into a chat box?

Lots of websites just don't keep a general chat anymore (because of a handful of unsavory users). At some point, it was really bad, and we almost completely removed it. In the end, we decided to keep it, but with strong restrictions.

No, this is just a group that if people want to spam, spam here instead on global chat. Like, i will not spam at all in global, maybe talking a bit or saying that one of my games is almost full or something. But this group is just a free zone, just in that chat, ok. But i don’t promote it in global chat.

And yeah, i create it, but maybe i should get out, since i have 9 groups and i can’t have one whit more than 2 (except the CBBG that unite some people of the same country).

Yeah, but is annoying when there one premium not promoting an arena game in turn-based or real time and i really want to play arena, i can’t reply to say, “hey, we need one more in X game in arena mode to start” in a way that people can see it. You know, i‘ve been in that situation, when the only premium wasn’t promoting this arena table.

I never noticed anything. There was time limit of message posting. 240 seconds or so. No one was spamming and spamming was impossible due to those restrictions since even if you wait 240 seconds to post again, it would have been flushed fast. People have the right of free speach. There was no abuse in the general chat. You can always warn people who post things you dislike. These days you do absolutely nothing about cheaters and game abusers and only moderate bad words which is why i completely disagree with you. If you wanted to really fix it you would moderate it. Instead you locked it behind paywall cos it was the easy way out.

Freedom of speech does not mean freedom to use other people's resources to distribute that speech. If you wanted to have a newspaper publish your opinion, you can't demand they do it for free. You probably aren't complaining to your telecommunications provider that you are being charged by them to access these forums, but that is also a charge to speak.

You are free to say almost* whatever you want in a public space. This is a private space that the owners allow many people to use under certain terms of service.




*Almost whatever you want, but even that has restrictions. Certain speech, such as falsely shouting "fire" in a crowded theater and sexually explicit material, is still restricted in most countries that state they have freedom of speech.
