Sorry if this has been asked before, but the search feature wasn't turning up anything useful
Basically I've got a discord group that I want to introduce to this site by playing some simple games
Preferences: Good UI, Complexity 1-2/5 to learn, not premium

eg:
The Crew: great party game for 4 peeps, great UI, not premium, 2/5 complexity
Sushi Go: unfortunately premium
[offsite] Codenames
[offsite] resistance: simple game involving social deception
[offsite] Spyfall: ^^
[offsite] Catan: a good game that is kinda the "upper limit" of complexity

For how many players? That might influence it a bit...

But, I tend to like 6 Nimt! and Concept for light games for larger groups.

This list should have plenty: https://boardgamearena.com/gamelist?sec ... specific=0

Some personal recommendations:
  • Celestia: simple "push your luck" game where you compete with the other players, yet also rely on them
  • Bandido: easy cooperative game
  • Colt Express: very interactive move-programming game
  • Dice Forge: medium-light game with a good mix of strategy and luck
  • Haiclue: basic word game
  • Not Alone: asymmetrical one-versus-many game
  • Papayoo: a quirkier version of Hearts
  • Piraten kapern/Martian Dice: filler dice games
  • Saboteur: social deduction game
  • Solo: Uno, but crazier
  • Spades: 2v2 card game
  • Tokaido/Trekking the World: casual travel games with few "wrong" moves
  • Remember When: non-serious party game in which you make up superhero memories
