a guise

Has anyone ever tried this game and enjoyed it? I gave it a couple of tries, but it makes zero sense. The 'how to play' is lacking on "how to play" and there really doesn't appear to be an actual game when you play it. I think the developers are more interested in giving a history lesson in the guise of a pseudo game. This has to be the worst "game" on bga. I shrug my shoulders and move on.

You can find the rules easily online, but I share your opinion that this is the worst game on bga.

It might not be a great game, but it definitely has merit. It's mainly a 'luck mitigation' strategy which is very similar mechanic you find in a lot of games. It is not just simply throw the dice and win on a 6. The only rather stupid thing is that you should always fall back to a position where you get aid with a dice.

If you don't like a game, you can always choose one of the 200 others on the site. Something has to be the best, as something has to be the worst. There are definitely other games on the site I'd rather not play.

FYI, anyone can edit 'How to play' section.
Note: This game was supposed to be a multiplayer co-op game, but somehow the original developer implemented only the solo mode.

I played this game hundreds of times and reworked the implementation.
However, now I fully agree this is one of the worst games on BGA.
Players needs a good luck to win, as the enemies (Persians) clearly have the edge.
Then, the game is way too dependent on luck, and has almost nothing to mitigate the bad luck.
In this game, luck mitigation factors (support dice)... heavily rely on luck! (facepalm)
Besides, players have no one else to compare their luck but the game itself. This is a solo/co-op game.
