i was in a game with someone winning he did a wrong move and so concedes games...which made us both 9 points. this is completely absurd that both players would lose points. the person conceding should get no points and otherr person should get the amount they would have won. other games do this...why does hanabi you both lose?

No-one should gain any points for this. And the one who leaves, should be punished. Either way a weak-minded thing to do.

yes because every other game you gain the points you would have for your outcome at the end for winning if someone concedes

Well, conceding should be BANNED for coop games.
if u BOTH want to quit, use abandon.
CONCEDING in coop games is inconsiderate and rude.

I have stopped playing Hanabi because as soon as someone make a mistake, some player want to stop.

CONCEDING should not be allowed on cooperative games.

I'm at the point where I don't want to include Masters in my game rooms because, I find, that many people with the highest ELO simply achieve it by collectively abandoning all non-perfect games. It's a super flawed system for cooperative games.

i saw youre profile i really recomment that you dont play with masters till you have atleast 1000 game. in hanabi that many games makes you to just master the basics well.

if you want to get better please read guide books for hanabi too it helps alot .

You didn't really address my point that the ELO system has a negative incentive for finishing games, though?

i dont deny some masters play for elos but i know much more that dont play for elos but they ask yo abondon too you know why ? because its really hard to continue to play a game players dont get youre hints atall

It's not hard, some people just don't want to do it. I personally play with totally new people all the time -- I make assumptions about where they are in their learning and act accordingly. I'll ask them if they understand certain moves. I think people that don't want to educate should pay close attention to who they accept games with. We all have to press Accept before the game starts, after all.
