Tooltip - onMouseLeave delay?

I'm using addTooltipHTML to add a tip with a larger version of a card. I'm having some formatting issues with the HTML, but I can't inspect the tooltip HTML because it is hidden by onMouseLeave before I can mouse over it.
If I just embed my tooltip in the page the formatting issue doesn't happen, so this is something in the way it's being wrapped by dojo.
Does anyone have suggestions for how to debug these HTML tooltips?
and/or Is there a way to change the onMouseLeave behavior? (I want to add a long delay so I can inspect the HTML before the tip is removed.
Thanks,
B

You can use this good old trick : open web inspector as separated window and put it.right over the thing you want à tooltip. Then hover to.display the tooltip and alt tab to switch to the web inspector window, that will prevent the tooltip from closing. You can find the tooltip.at the bottom of the dom

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to work, the tooltip is still disappearing and the html at the bottom of the DOM is still getting emptied out so all I can inspect is an empty div.
Is there maybe some setting in Chrome dev-tools necessary to make this trick work?
Update: I was able to do it, but it appears necessary to use a separate window *and* click "Inspect" on the div hosting the tooltip once the tooltip appears (just Alt-Tab doesn't seem to work)
Thanks for the help

Hum that's strange, it's working on both FF on chrome on my latptop without any particular settings. I just alt tab to the separated window to make sure the onmouseleft event is never trigger, then go throught the DOM tree until I find the tooltip.
