Board Game Arena

I've tried to find this online and in the rules but it's not made clear.

In every other scoring mechanic of Carcassone, most number of Meeple on a feature wins the feature.

Is it the same with huts? I know that if a river system has 1 hut each of 2 or more colours that the river system is shared... but if Player 1 has 2x huts on a single river system and Player 2 has 1x hut on the system is it shared or won by player 1?

It's won by player 1 as far as I'm aware. Most huts wins. I find most of my games degenerate into a battle to get all 3 huts onto a single, long river system.
