Poll on Arena mode option (player number and multiplier variant)

Arena mode is now available, so I created a poll for it!

Also, what do you think about dictionary or manual/automatic challenge?
Automatic challenge would be better for turn-based games though.

Players challenge on is going to make a 3p arena game drag on for ages! It needs to be automatic challenge imo

I think it is more important to devellop the game in other languages before to begin arena in this game, for exemple for haiclue, the arena begin when a lot of languages are implemented,
i hope french ( and other languages) will come for this game to be in equality in arena

There were other players requesting various language settings, but it's difficult to implement due to letter frequencies.
Implementing other language options in Arena games, which is a competitive format, will be more complex.

btw I chose 2p/one multiplier maximum.
3+ players games are hard to even find a match, especially in realtime.
For multiplier variant, if the players are skilled enough then the game actually depends on who gets B, J (or Q if B and J are split) first.
Of course using 'one multiplier' variant does not eliminate this factor, however it much lessens the impact of sheer luck.

Having patent abilities multiplying means that too often luck decides the game.

I think manual challenge and no retries just encourages people to use wordfinders routinely, rather than having a go with what they can think of for themselves. Automatic challenge with 1 retry is the best setting.

Also, another issue manual challenge is that players tend to leave the game or go offline because the game is pretty much over but they don't do the final acceptance of words and the results get neutralised.

Current votes favor one doubling ability maximum variant, however are split in case of the player number.
Should the option alternate like Stone Age?: viewtopic.php?f=37&t=14387
e.g. Season 4, 6, 8... - 3 players, and Season 5, 7, 9... - 2 players.

I agree with those who have stated that challenges should be automatic. The game is already on the honor system since it's super easy to look words up ahead of time. Manual challenges just drags the game out. A round requires 12 player turns instead of 3.

However, I don't see that as an option in the polls.

Playing this game turn based with challenges is SO painful. You have to wait for everyone to challenge a word (or - almost always - not) and then go back to the main player to buy a patent.

I don't think I'll play it again on Arena unless it can be made Auto-challenge.

Really glad to see these new arena settings - autochallenge in particular pretty much triples game speed, and one-doubler-max takes at least some of the luck out of it.
