Why Are Friends Invited Before I've Had a Chance to Configure the Game?

So, I go to "Play Now" from the top menu.

I pick the options to play a turn-based game with friends.

I click on the game or the "Play Now" button on the game of my choice.

The result: BGA instantly tries to invite all my friends and create a game and warns me that some are offline. Only after the invite has gone out can I adjust the game's setup. But as soon as anyone joins the game, I can't change any settings. I have to warn my friends not to accept the invite until I give the okay? This makes no sense. No sense at all.

The reasonable and sane expectation is that I would be able to configure a game with the desired settings and ONLY THEN fuss with setting out invitations.

What am I missing here?

Seemed like a simple question.

I'm going to take the silence to mean that BGA just doesn't function in a sane and reasonable way and in fact users must invite players to join, then rush in and configure settings before any actually does join and lock the host out.

Hi,
You can use "manual mode" if you want full control to set options, then invite friends, then open the game.
