Difference between Time Spent and Total Time Played

Hi,
What is the difference between the Time Spent column values in the Audience Tab
and the Total Time Played which is reached by clicking on the see details link of the Audience table ?
The difference in this case is quite huge for the same game (99h vs. 5956h) and it is not just the time period that explains the difference becase the game has only been available for 1 month. Could you explain how these two values are calculated?
