Board Game Arena

Hi! I have played over 3,000 rounds of games here at BGA. Months ago, I left notes for myself on players I played with in the past, after the game, but now I cannot find those notes. I can spend ten minutes scrolling through my game history to load it (you cannot show it by game - it all displays in chronological order), but once I click a game to see if that was the one, it takes me right back to the beginning (and another ten minutes of clicking to load the whole thing again). This makes it impossible for me to find my notes.

(To be clear, the notes I added are for players, so they do NOT display as notes for the game in the long list of rounds. I have to click each one to see if I left notes about that player.)

Is there a way to keep the whole list displayed, so I can check each round one at a time without ten minutes of clicking to load it each time, or even to search by game? Otherwise I'm stuck - I have no way to find my notes. Thanks!

Hey, the things you ask can be done. At least I can do them. But I have a premium account. Not sure if it also works for non premium members. Small note: everything noted in the next part I have translated from dutch. So the actual English version might be a little different.

Showing game history by game, not all the games chronological. Go to your profile. Scroll down to your game list. Click on 'my statistics for this game'. Scroll down and click 'Game history of Dash_Games' in the lower right corner. That way you can see your history for a certain game.

To keep the whole list displayed, don't left-click on the game you want to see, but use right-click and choose 'open link in a new tab'. That way you keep the list open in the first tab.

There's an awful lot of ways to sort games, for example only games played vs a certain player. But I'm pretty sure most of it is premium only. Not sure though.

Right-clicking and selecting to open in the new tab is probably the best way to solve the problem as you describe it.

Moving forward, though, instead of making notes about players in the games history you might try to make notes on their profile page. Clicking on their name should bring up their page. In the section on their reputation, there is a "my personal note on" section. This note will be displayed only to you when both of you are at the same table.
