Why are some of my games grayed out?

In arena mode, you can play only if you have Elo >100 at this game, if you haven't more 100 ELO, you can't play at this game in arena mode
If you want play at this game, use in the menu "simple game"

Even when I do that, some are grayed out.

Beta games are also greyed out in arena mode.

(And co-op)

If you're getting them in simple mode, I think we need more information (what games etc) to help you solve this problem.

The games that have gone to grayed out are Bandido, Connect Four, Welcome To, and Carcassone. They didn't used to be that way.

Still looks like you're in arena mode. You don't have 100 elo in any of those games.

So how do I get out of it? I have clicked on Real-Time. Don't see a difference.

On the left hand side, you should be able to select "Simple game", "Arena" or "Tournament".
[Middle is "Real-Time" or "Turn-Based", right is "Friends", "Automatic" or "Manual"]

Rather than Simple Game being an option "under" Arena, they are both two of three options along with Tournaments under an unlabeled drop down menu that behind the scenes appears to be called "pageheader_lobbymenunav_gamemode."
