Gift points expiration

Just noticed that gift points expire now.
Including 2844 points to be used before 2021-12-03 ()
2020-12-03: Initial balance +2944
(100 used)
2021-02-23: Converted to Premium -100
2021-02-23: First victory +5
All gift points must be used within a year of receiving them.

So if i learn 1 new game every month, I can not use my gift points? Ever?

Wow didnt know that.
but its not a issue for most players like me.
I only have about 130 rn.
u have to translate A LOT to get these much points.

I also have Initial balance on 2020-12-03. Points used to last for years, else I would never have been able to manage a premium month... I guess our favourite website forgot to announce the change !
And I guess that makes points useless for most of us.

I wonder if someone will lose their insane gift point stashes come December the 3rd.

It may be pointless to say. But having gift points expire will more than likely impact volunteer contributions far more negatively than what the site may get back from unused gift points.
