Zola - Simple yet strategic and robust

Zola rules. Non-capturing, king-like moves outward and capturing, queen-like moves not outward. Win by annihilation. Hard finite - no draws.

Most games as simple as Zola are not robust (i.e., strong first move advantage). And they're purely tactical. Zola defies the odds. It's very strategic and robust. 6x6 is more than sufficient for beginner to intermediate. AI reveals first move advantage on 6x6. Less so on 8x8.
I have many other games, but I recommend Zola for BGA. Minute (or less) to learn and high quality gameplay.
