Some public appreciation

So I just wanted to say again what an amazing job Salvatore Vasta and Lunalol have done, first in designing a hex and counter game of this sweep that works so well, and secondly in implementing that game on the BGA site. Not only are those phenomenal feats in themselves, and well executed in both cases, but they must have involved thousands of hours of dedicated work. That deserves a huge thank you for the labours of others which I am currently enjoying (and of course to the testers of both the game and the implementation).
I am motivated to say this again because I am talking about the game publicly, and about the implementation publicly, because I enjoy talking about things I enjoy doing. But I'm also aware of the very real limitations that exist in game design and interface implementation - hex and counter games which take hundreds of hours to play cannot be tested the way a euro is, BGA was not designed to handle anything more complex than Puerto Rico. And if I'm going to be honest when I talk about the game or its implementation then I'm going to have talk about those limitations, and that is going to be critical sometimes.
But I want to make the point publicly, and probably will want to in the future, that my criticisms are not criticism of Vasta or Lunalol because the limits placed on them are a function of the nature of the type of game. I have never had an opportunity to play this type of game in this sort of way, and a poll I opened recently suggests the same is true for 99% of wargamers, and its amazing to be able to play in this way.
Thank you for all the hard work that made this possible.
