Carcassonne scoring question or is it a bug?

Can anyone explain how yellow got so many field points in the game below? Specifically, the field where yellow has 5 workers + pig (and got points multiple times) vs. where red has 7 workers (5 + the big guy)?

Look at the log & yellow scored that field 8 times even though red had the majority of farmers???

Is this a bug that should be reported?

There is no bug. There are 2 aspects that you might have not seen:

First: On the field where yellow has 5 meeples and a pig, green has only 3 meeples and no pig. You think that the right field and the lower field are connected to this central field but they are not. Please look closely and you will see, that in both cases there are two cities that touch each other in a corner which means they separate the fields.

Second: You might have not considered that you played the old field rule. In this rule set a mayority in single fields is not important. Each city is considered independently and all farmes in the fields surrounding it (that can be multiple fields!) support this city.

All the best, euklid
