Arena rank in case of tie

Hi!
I was aiming for the Carcassonne top 10 and I reached the 10th place indeed. Tied with mgquaresma at 1974 points, I constantly appeared in the 10th place in all my F5 hits. Hence I assumed some tie breaking system was giving me the 10th place according to some rules. I stop playing...
Now the season is over and I appear 11th. WTF.
How is that possible? How is the tie resolved?
( If this would be a fight for the 1st place I would be heading towards BGA headquarters
)

Either someone get more than 1974 points or it's a bug.

I would say it is a bug then. Here is the score as it appears right now in

We are both with 1974.
I even checked last minute to see if I was still in the 10th position, I was.
Otherwise I would have started a game to aim for the top10.

Wow, this is buggy as hell. I'm the one that played the last game within the season. I actually checked I was 10th and that he wasn't playing...
He played
after the end of the season. I just played a game now and I become 10th again. Seriously WTF.

Just got now the "Arena World Top 10 this season" badge so I guess it is set in stone. I suppose it is the last game not within the season but the last game until the moment they run some script.
Thanks @PrinceParsnips, I wouldn't have played that last game if it weren't for your answer. I think I would have been 11th in that case.
Hope this is fixed in season 5.
