Estimated duration

When setting up a turn based game I was looking at how many turns per day and estimated duration as a guide to what game would be like.
However I noticed game duration didn't change as expected.
So the following changes occured.
1 turn per day - 4 days duration
2 turn per day - 12 days duration
3 turn per day - 3.2 days duration
4 turn per day - 9 days duration

I didn't understand why 4 turns a day to longer than 3 turns a day.
Any advice please?

That's an average of how long games that chose this option take in practice.
For the options where almost no one ever chose them, the average will be very wrong.
For example, if a group of friends always play together with the option "1 turn per day", but actually finish the game in a single day, that will totally mess the average.

Thanks for reply.
So basically more accurate to look at turns per day rather than estimated duration as latter is not accurate and based on collated statistics not actual calculation?
So 3 turns per day more likely to finish sooner though.
Thanks
