How to deal with bad behaviour without losing ELO ?

Hello, i don't know if it is the place for it, but :

I recently played (hanabi) with someone showing bad behaviour (counted my "mistakes" in the chat). I proposed a collective abandon. The other player refused to abandon, and after a short discussion where it appeared we did not agree on strategy, he kicked me out (i was out of time since we were discussing).

Is there a way to escape this kind of situation ?
-> wait until get kicked : lose karma
-> kill the game : lose score
I would suggest not lose karma for a player who asked for abandon. What do you think ?

Thanks

"Report the messages and finish playing while ignoring the chat" seems to be the best available here.
Assuming those messages are indeed punishable, you might be able to ask to the moderator to have your ELO back a posteriori.

If those messages are too "acceptable" for a moderator to take action, then the expected behaviour is "finish the game while ignoring the chat and put a red thumb so that you never ever encounter this player again". Finishing the game in time is still part of your duties.

[Sadly, there is no way to disable the game chat as far as I know, so "ignoring the chat" is easier said than done]

As for your suggested solution, you definitely don't want peoples to quit the game penalty-free just by asking to abandon a competitive game while they're losing, and then quitting immediately after the winners obviously reject the suggestion.
