I can't watch the replay(at work), but are you sure there was no strategy involved?

There are times that I purposely miss-guarded someone as the deck was running out, and had preferred one player to win over the other to prevent the end of the game.

Player A(me) at 0 points, B at 3 points and C at 0 or 1 points(whatever). When the deck is running out, and I know 99% what player C has, but can't attack player B due to handmaid, I would misscall the guard on player C if I was certain I wouldn't be able to beat player B in a head-to-head.

This is not a common occurance to be really going on deep rant about. I think the bigger issue with current LL player base is the lack of nuance in most plays. So much information is being conveyed on the table yet not many tries to manipulate that to control the points. Most players tend to just give wins to anyone even leading score seat as long as they don't get knocked out. Or knocking someone out when the guy they could've knocked could save the entire game.

If this game is played with a good table, it almost feels like everyone's talking to each other and bluffing at the same time. Online games though are just so messy, and a lot of it will be dictated by luck. Strong tables tries to minimize that.
