In the Skull Rulebook page 12 it states on a failed attempt, when the Challenger flips another player's skull disc, "...The player whose Skull the Challenger flipped chooses the disc to eliminate" https://cdn.1j1ju.com/medias/eb/1e/99-s ... lebook.pdf

In playing the game I have not been given the chance to peek at the discarded tiles when someone fails an attempt by turning up my Skull disc

Is this going to be added to play?

The rulebook states that it is done secretly. This disks are placed face down. You don't get a chance to peek at the disk you remove. So the game here just does that automatically instead of another player pulling the disk. Amounts to the same thing, and probably saves time.

As far a I know, the only time you choose is when you flip over your own skull (either bidding to take control of tempo, or a bluff that failed.)
