Enable a mechanism to disable "...is now online" and "...is now offline" messages?

I'd like to be able to disable the "So-and-so is now online." and "ThisPlayer is now offline." message in the logs. Maybe something like a user preference?

I feel like they clutter up the logs and make the game logs less readable.

This is particularly true for, say, a semi-live turn-based game in which I leave the browser open, maybe walking away for a while. Reloading does make the online/offline messages go away, but then I have to wait for the game to reload. It occurs to me that I don't really find them useful.

Could also work to have them appear in some different way on the site than in the game log area.

Thanks!

Yeah, a lot of players hate this. You can add your vote here:

Also, hide visibility. An option to enable/disable for friends to see if we're online or not.

Btw, I will ask it here, but I personnally limit my number of friends only because the number of visible friend when i'm in the lobby (when i click next to the top right) are 8.
I'm not asking to increase it to 10/12, but it's a pretty weird limitation.
