Board Game Arena

I know that sounds pitiful but I want to make some friends on here to play games and chat about board games. I am four hours away from the only person that I play board games with. My brother is the only gamer that I have to play with and solo games aren't cutting it anymore. I can Facetime, Skype, or Zoom to chat about games and get to know other players.
I am a really nice person but I am so BORED with this pandemic.

I'm in the same boat, unfortunately my family broke apart during COVID and lost all my board game players.

I don't know anyone 'geeky' in my social circle and none that plays board games...BGA has been a godsend letting me play Carcassonne

Meetup is good for finding real world and virtual game nights and meeting new friends with similar interests.

thank you!!! i knew there was people who felt the same. people think i am being ridiculous about the idea of making friends and chatting while playing games that others are agreeing to play. People have been playing this site way before covid and people arent just on this site to merely play games. that would be a lie or because you are bored. everyone is so disconnected and make it seem like interactions between strangers is wrong when all friends that we all know today were once strangers we had to get to know. i would be your friend and anyone else who wants to become friends.
