Allow player to start/try a game alone for training mode (even for min. 2+ players games, even without AI opponents)

Hello. I'm a new player here, and I'm glad that I can play various board games and have fun with them.

The thing is, I still find it hard to play games that aren't popular. I wanted to play games like Remember When and Penny Press. I opened table for the games on morning, noon, and night. I kept the player amount to minimum, but nobody wanted to join (even if there was one, they'll leave early because of waiting too long for other player). I already tried to invite players on the available list for the game. I also tried the automatic player matching. None of those worked.

Can player just try or play the game alone--especially for training mode? It doesn't have to include AI. i.e., if a game needs min. 3 players, a solo player can have all the 3 turns by themselves (you know, like people in board game tutorials would do).

Please consider this suggestion. Thank you.

P.S. : I originally wanted to ask about this directly to the site owners, but I can't find how. On FAQ, it suggested me to go to contact page. On contact page, all of the options suggested me to go to FAQ. And so on and so on.

You can do that with hotseat mode (create a table, add a friend, hotseat player)

I don't have particular friends to do that--or can I add random users for it?

Often you can get turn-based opponents for a less popular game, when you can't find anyone to play in real time.

It's not ideal, but maybe more fun than playing against yourself?

The risk of playing turn-based game is the game will stuck and won't proceed because one player won't take their turn for days (I've been in 2 turn-based game like this actually. the game just won't move).

Personally I'd rather play against myself instead of that.

You don't need a friend for this. Hotseat games are meant to be played with someone on the same device, and that someone does not need to be a registered person on BGA. Hence you can use them to play against yourself. (But it is a premium feature.)

In the lobby, click on "+ Play with friends", then on the blue "+ Add a friend" -> "Do your friend and you share the same screen?" Click Yes -> Insert any name you like -> Choose a game and have fun!

I see. I'll try this (apparently I also can choose hotseat option when about to open a table).
Thank you for the help. Maybe I'll delete this thread soon.

dschingis27 forgot to say that it is a premium-only feature, which is is a quite important information.

Why delete? It will help other players with the same question.
