Hello, folks! I'm posting because I truly don't understand, as the title say, what is going on.

The player leader on ELO - ufm - has a pretty strange pattern on the game. For those who want to check out:

He always play with the same person (not an issue on itself), but after a string of wins, there is always a string of abandonned games, in which the partner always leaves the game. It seems like the intention is to keep the partner at a lower elo, on purpose, while ufm keeps rising.

Common practice, better not look too closely if you are bothered by it.

I got a weird thing yesterday about elo.
I win +1 from an easy game.
And just after lose -24 (and goes back to 100, so maybe I should lose more) from a medium game, which is really a lot.

Didn't reported a bug, since I'm not sure it's a bug.

I'll explain it myself. I mostly play on real-time mode.
But I couldn't find any game with strong players available, solo mode is not implemented yet, and hotseat is a mess.
(Your Solar Storm games are all turn-based, did you notice?)
So called a partner, won hardest difficulty games, and made the partner leave the game to keep the account low.
This game does not involve sharing imperfect information. All games played are legit.
Rankings in coop don't matter a lot, but didn't want to keep both on the leaderboard, really.
At least I never went up in competitive system like this... Can switch to Training mode if you insist.

Solar Storm's current ELO gain/loss is a little bit weird.
First games' K factor multipliers are applied, and the amount of gain and loss are the same.
For example, if you were to win that -24 game, you would've gained 24.
For the same sense you lose only 1 when you lose Easy/No Realistic Mode game.
Maybe 'no risk no reward' approach? Don't know.
