Looking through the docs, step 6 from the 8 steps,

https://www.slideshare.net/boardgameare ... game-arena

"Dont hesitate to test with different friends who know the original game as soon as possible : it helps a lot to figure out that a rule is missing or that some ergonomics should be improved. "

How do I let them play test? They are members of BGA, but not registered with the studio.

Do I have to go to a alpha release, which starts up a timer for beta release?

I think the game is ready, (well, I plan to write the tool tips tonight, but these friends know the game)

That slideshow is pretty outdated. This would be the better checklist to reference: http://en.doc.boardgamearena.com/Pre-release_checklist

It would not be intended or preferred to create new Studio accounts for the purpose of testing, since it consumes limited resources that are set aside for Studio. I would say, and I'm pretty sure the admins would agree, that it would be better to just go to Alpha and add the tooltips shortly afterward.

There isn't a timer or automatic process for beta release. Once the game has been in Alpha long enough to get 10 approvals, you would make the request to BGA to move to Beta.

Hi,

They don't necessarily need to register on the Studio, you can give them the password for your ____1, ____2, ..., accounts, while you log in with your main ___0 account, and then create a game and invite your other accounts (using classical "Open table to other players", not "express start").
