I bought it, but i didn't get any pearl.

i didnt get ANY pearl, no matter when i bought it, or i bought other lords after that.
it was FREE.

Getting pearls with the Shipmaster isn't related to buying that lord or any other lords.

You get 1 pearl for each race that you send to the council, after exploring.
