About colour choice - premium users.

Hello, I am not a Premium User (from now on, PU) and I have a minor question.
I know PU may choose their favorite color.
Let's say I am PU playing Targi against another PU (there are only 2 colours available in this game: Blue and White).
We both prefere blue meeples; what happens now?
My guess is - both our browsers would show blue for us, and white for the opponent.
Not sure if it works like this; any hints?

The one who is on top in the table list (so the one who joined earlier/is table owner) gets their first choice. The other one has to take one of the colours that's left

While we're on the matter of colors can we ditch that light neon blue? It's very difficult to read.

Better than white, that's sometimes not only difficult but literally impossible to read

Unfortunately, it most definitely does not work like this. There have been suggestions that each monitor displays colors independently of what is showing on other monitors, but there seems to be no BGA support for the idea. I am not sure if it is a technical issue with the framework already in place, or a conscious decision to not implement it, or a decision to spend development resources elsewhere.

I am not sure it works like this. From what I remember from other discussions it is not based on table join order, but rather player order as determined at the start of the game. Otherwise the table owner would
always get their preferred choice, and I'm pretty sure this is not the case.
As a side note, all of this discussion may be moot for Targi. The rulebook states that the blue player goes first (when it is unknown when the last player to eat dates is). BGA does not implement color choices when colors affect game play. Otherwise players could force being first or second player in games like chess.

The host DOES get their preferred pick in case of conflict, at least in games I play regularly. A friend and I sometimes switch who does the inviting, as we both hate being 'demoted' from blue to dingy brown in Marrakech.

Thanks for the clarification. Color choice and player order are add-on features, so may work differently for different games.
