Lvl 1 and 2 undiscovered sites does not show idol when hoover

Maybe I am doing something wrong and maybe there is a solution? When I hoover above a level 1 or 2 dig site which is undiscovered the zoom does not let me see whats on the idol. Its just a question mark. If I remove the pointer I can make out some of the symbols but it would have been much easier if it showed when hoovering above. Because once I have done the discover action the dig site tile and the guardian can be viewed enlarged so you can see the symbols on them.
