Being able to concede tournament matches

Please, for the love of all that is good, make this a thing.
I am in a tourney, and got a horrible line of luck. It happens, ah well. However, I go to concede, and I can't concede a tourney match. WHY?!?! I'm now forced to play a long-ish game I can't possibly win, which is now about as much fun as getting my teeth pulled. A game should never be made to be a terrible experience, and forcing someone to not be allowed to concede is not the way to go about doing it.
I'm not even advocating quitting, but if you're in a lost position, you should be able to say "I lost, good game", like chess, and not be forced to play out the next 20+ moves until checkmate.
