Question, for the Deep Red Meteor variant, how do you mark a route as a "Special Route"? I only get the Allow Meteor button. Does the route have to have some special characteristic maybe?

Here's a quote from the BGA rules that indicates this is possible:

"At the beginning of the round, you can mark an available Special Route to ignore the Meteor dice this round."

You cross out one of the special routes in the top row (by clicking on it). You don't get to use it, you forfeit it for not getting a meteor hit that round.
