No Tokaido "10 Wins In a Row" Trophy... Why?

Howdy.

So I won my last 13 games of Tokaido, in a row.
But 3 games were expels (someone had the annoying bug or some sort of internet issue, or simply lagged too much at the end of the game, and got expelled or quit), so those 3 games were common wins (considering all players - me included - were winners, except the one who got expelled/quit).

Still... I had 10 consecutive wins by myself in the last 13 games (plus the other 3 from expelling, mixed with the normal 10), and it was not my fault that the people were expelled or quit because of BGA game start bugs or bad internet or whatever other reason.

I think I should have got a "10 Consecutive wins" trophy, shouldn't have I?

Thanks in advance for an answer... Good luck.

have you had 10 wins in a row ? No
( in addition, it is you who expulsed players)

Yes, I had 10 wins by myself in a row, without the expels... 13 actually, if you count the 3 common ones, as a result of the expels (2/3 winners with me included, 1 loser). So 10 wins by myself, from last 13 wins in a row.
And no, I did not have 10 consecutive wins by myself (only had 10 wins by myself from 13 wins in a row, with the conditions I have already elaborated).

I expelled (I think in all 3 instances), but it was not my fault BGA has/had game start bugs, or that players have/had bad internet or don't know how to refresh a page, and I also sent Private Messages with the game links, asked them to play ("please play, game started, refresh page or click the game link"), and waited enough seconds before expelling them, because I don't like waiting to see how long it takes for someone to refresh a page or read a message (private or game chat).

I think that if a player doesn't counter (or hasn't learnt to counter) the Game Start Bugs, then the game is not important enough for him/her, so I naturally feel the need to expel, if there is no feedback to my PMs or game chat texting.

You can check my PMs to those 3 players or the game chats, to verify what I am saying (if you can or whatever), but this is beside the point.

I do not consider this is fair...
If for instance someone has 49 normal wins in a row, and about to win a 50th. game in Tokaido (or any other game), and at the end of the 50th. game, someone quits... unexpectedly, you are robbed of a trophy.

Am I wrong to consider this... unfair?

The system considering a tie as 'non-victory' is a pretty well-known and longstanding bug (or feature, maybe?).
I don't think it would be fixed soon. Partnership games are even worse due to ELO, you know.
You should stick with 2 player games if you really want to prevent this.

Thank you for the answer, I didn't think/know that a tying win (secondary to a quitting, or an expulsion) destroys the entire chain of consecusive normal wins gathered until that moment, and that all starts from 0.

Even if I hadn't expelled those 3 players... Some other player would have eventually done it, so I really don't see myself a bad guy in this particular situation, especially since I text the game links to people who have issues with the bugs, and with the "49-50 wins" example mentioned above.

Pity for these bugs, hope to be solved eventually.

Cheers.

collectif abandonment doesn't break the chain

Of course, 'cause it is like the abandoned game never existed, and there are no winners or losers.

Info: When a player gets expelled... it is not the expeller's fault, but the expelled one's fault (direct fault, or indirect, because of Bugs).

Anyway, my "49 wins" case, followed by a quitting (in a game with at least 3 players), still seems hugely unfair for the one aiming a 50th. consecutive win trophy.

I understood all you said (My opinion is that Win-Chains shouldn't be broken by Tying Wins secondary to Quits/Expels; It does not feel right, and I am sure it is not right); thanks for feedback, good day.
